Medovate supports speaker programme at Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2022

Medovate is excited to announce that Alan Finnerty, Technology Director of Medovate, will be joining the outstanding line-up of speakers at this year’s Med-Tech Innovation Expo.Taking place 8-9 June 2022, Med-Tech Innovation Expo is the UK and Ireland’s leading event for medical device supply chain intelligence. The event offers attendees the chance to see the latest industry innovations and to hear from thought-leaders on the latest trending topics in med-tech, including regulation, market access, start-ups, and plenty more.

Alan’s session, titled ‘Launching a technology during a pandemic and regulatory challenges’, will highlight that there is a great deal of innovation arising from the NHS and explore the importance of identifying and developing innovations with real value for professionals and patients.

Using the revolutionary SAFIRA® system and its international launch as an example, Alan will discuss the various aspects of launching a medical device innovation and its challenges, including, quality, design, manufacturing and trials, with a focus on regulatory aspects. He will also touch upon the additional challenges raised by the pandemic and how businesses can thrive with the right expertise, processes and determination.

As Medovate’s Technology Director, Alan is responsible for leading our technologies through the entire development pathway including design, development, regulatory approval, manufacturing and delivery to the point of care while also ensuring all organisation regulatory and quality obligations are met.

Alan has over 20 years’ experience in the successful development and commercialisation of innovative medical products and is a member of both the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub.
