INNOVATION

Every great thing begins with an idea

At Medovate we are dedicated to simplifying the process of bringing novel medical technologies to life.

We collaborate with clinical innovators with one common goal in mind - to bring innovative medical devices to market to improve patient safety and care.

  1. Idea

Every great thing begins with an idea

The NHS has a rich history of innovation and it is something we are proud to be part of. Ideas are abundant, but often bringing them to life can be tricky. It is important to seek advice at an early stage, but knowing where to turn for support may not always be straightforward. At Medovate, we have a dedicated channel for harnessing the potential of new ideas and bringing them to the fore. Our unique experience within the NHS puts us in good stead to help your idea reach its full potential.

  2. Concept

Concept is often the most important milestone in a product’s journey

Objectively reviewing which ideas have the potential to have the biggest impact is where an idea begins to become a reality. Our team will use their real world experience to evaluate the feasibility of a concept, analyse the risks and assess the real value to taking a concept to market and developing a global regulatory strategy, to ensure every investment made along the way will reap the returns for all those involved.

  3. Development

We don't just develop a product, we develop a solution

One of the most important aspects of concept development is having the user at front of mind and really taking the time to understand how their unmet needs will be solved. At this stage in our process, we collaborate with clinical innovators and patients to inform design and prototyping, formulate and conduct usability studies to create a fit for purpose product to launch into the marketplace.

  4. Validation

Ensuring the technology’s purpose aligns with regulatory compliance

Regulatory activities are ongoing from the very beginning of the process, and remain with a product throughout its entire lifespan. Innovation can only be a success if it has a valid and compliant route to market. We can meet these requirements by compiling comprehensive technical documentation, devising a global regulatory strategy and assisting with regulatory approvals for relevant target markets. We will conduct studies and trials where required and develop robust quality management systems to ensure that any future regulation changes can be met at pace.

  5. Market

The most important part of inventing a new product, is letting people know it’s there

Once a great innovation has been brought to fruition, a key part of its success will come down to the development of a robust commercialisation and marketing launch strategy, securing regulatory clearance for launch to market. This strategy not only needs to address how we tell people about it, it is what we tell them about it. We reach people not only in places we know they will be, but by telling the story of how an individual product will meet their specific needs.

  6. ADOPTION

Having a great product adoption strategy is almost as important as having a great product

To ensure global product adoption we identify and apply the most effective commercialisation models for a product. This could be working with distributors, applying a direct sales process or working with partners. We proactively work with and support our distributors and partners, developing effective relationships and supporting them with marketing activities. At this point, we will also conduct post market surveillance, adapting any marketing strategies as required, to ensure the longevity of our activities and the product's performance in the market.
