Medovate is proud to be sponsoring the European Society for Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy 2nd ESRA Cadaver Workshop taking place on the 23rd – 24th September, 2022 in Witten, Germany.
As well as being an Industry Sponsor, the company is delighted to be showcasing the exciting SAFIRA® (SAFer Injection for Regional Anaesthesia) system on the Medovate stand, giving delegates a chance to see the technology in action over both days of the event.
The award-winning system ® has been developed in collaboration with clinicians from the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) to deliver a number of benefits to the regional anaesthesia process, specifically by making it a single operator procedure. The device gives anaesthetists full control of injection, as well as enhancing confidence through a built-in safety mechanism to automatically limit injection pressure to a specified threshold, thus helping to reduce the risk of nerve injury in patients.
At this year’s event, Medovate’s Marketing Manager, Tracy Eke, will be on hand to talk with delegates and demonstrate how the ground-breaking SAFIRA® technology works, and how the system enhances patient safety while benefiting clinicians.
The 2nd ESRA Cadaver Study is a two-day intensive workshop delivering unique hands-on learning experience, lectures, practical sessions and stimulating discussions, led by leading experts in the field of Regional Anaesthesia.
The event is an opportunity for delegates to improve their skills in regional anaesthesia, providing hands-on practice using fresh frozen, fixed/standard cadavers and live models, as well as exploring ultrasound imaging and needling techniques.
The event will be chaired by Prof. Paul Kessler and Dr Peter Merjavy, a Consultant Anaesthetist & Acute Pain Lead at the Craigavon Area University Teaching Hospital, Northern Ireland, UK.
Dr Merjavy has spoken about his experience of using the SAFIRA® system in a short video which is available on the Medovate You Tube Channel.
Medovate is looking forward to speaking with delegates throughout the two-day event.
