Medovate is delighted to be partnering with Pharmamed to evaluate SAFIRA® (SAFer Injection for Regional Anaesthesia) in one of the largest healthcare institutions in Slovenia.
Evaluations of SAFIRA® will take place in the biggest hospital in Ljubljana, The University Medical Centre Ljubljana (UMCL), and will assess SAFIRA®’s clinical performance and feedback from clinicians.
SAFIRA® was developed in collaboration with anaesthetists in the UK National Health Service (NHS). The innovative device is set to transform the technique of regional anaesthesia into a one-person procedure, giving anaesthetists full control of the injection at all times.
Improving patient safety, SAFIRA® also helps reduce the risk of nerve damage preventing anaesthetic from being injected at high pressures. An additional benefit for hospital and healthcare institutions is that the device also has the potential to help generate significant time and cost savings in a medical setting.
Chris Rogers, Sales & Marketing Director at Medovate said, “Partnering with Pharmamed to evaluate SAFIRA® in the biggest hospital in Slovenia is another positive step forward in the roll out of this innovative new technology for regional anaesthesia. We are delighted to be working with Pharmamed to gather further evidence in the patient safety benefits and ease of use that this innovative device brings to regional anaesthesia.”
Mirko Stojanovic, Strategic Marketing Manager at Pharmamed said, “We are pleased to have the opportunity to help support the evaluation of such an innovative device as SAFIRA™. Our mission is to offer innovative solutions for physicians and improve patient care. We believe that SAFIRA™ is a device that is in line with our mission, as users will increase patient safety and reduce risks in regional anesthesia procedures. We look forward to working with the Medovate team.”
