Medovate are pleased to announce that we will be supporting as a Bronze Sponsor and exhibiting at the Winter Scientific Meeting 2021 (WSM 2021), which is being held as a fully virtual event for the very first time on Wednesday 13th – Thursday 14th January 2021.

Hosted by the Association of Anaesthetists, the event is the UK’s biggest annual anaesthetic and peri-operative medicine conference and offers a fantastic way to kick off the new year, promising an exciting agenda covering all aspects of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.

As usual, the WSM exhibition forms a vibrant part of the two-day conference. This year, the virtual platform will enable attendees to live chat with exhibitors and sponsors and network exclusively with leaders in the field in between talks, live workshops and presentations.

Excitingly, the new online WSM 2021 platform and content will go live before WSM 2021 and will remain live for three months after the conference, meaning those who have signed up as delegates for the event can discover and network with industry experts over a longer period than previously.

Full details of the event program for each day and how to book can be found here.

Discover Medovate’s revolutionary device for regional anaesthesia

This year is a particularly exciting time for Medovate as we are gearing up to launch our revolutionary new technology for regional anaesthesia, SAFIRA®, in the UK and Europe.

SAFIRA® (the first innovative new technology which we have commercialised and successfully launched) is designed to help make regional anaesthesia safer for patients worldwide.

The device was created in collaboration with clinicians from the NHS and offers an innovative solution, turning regional anaesthesia into a one-person procedure for the very first time. The technology helps to improve patient safety by incorporating a built in safety feature which helps prevent anaesthetic from being injected at high pressures, thus reducing the risks of nerve damage.

Medovate will be virtually exhibiting SAFIRA® and its unique benefits for patients and clinicians worldwide at WSM 2021.

Sign up to attend and come along for a chance to catch up on the latest developments in anaesthesia and connect with the team here at Medovate – and learn more about our ground-breaking technology.

Keynote speakers for the 2021 event include:

Dr Ed Mariano (Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine) – ‘Lessons learned from the U.S. opioid epidemic’

Prof Rachel Collis (Obstetric Anaesthetist Consultant, University Hospital of Wales) – ‘Featherstone oration: Promoting a safety culture in maternity – the role of research’

Prof Carol Peden (Professor of Anesthesiology, Chair ASA Perioperative Brain Health Initiative) – ‘Peri-operative brain health’

Medovate are delighted to be supporting WSM 2021 as a bronze sponsor. As a face-to-face event the conference regularly attracted over 1,100 attendees each year – and this year promises to be even bigger.
